Every entry asks a young artist to decide what they believe, and to say it in a single image. When that image travels — to a jury, to a gallery wall, to another country — it carries their voice further than they can yet go themselves.

A selection of the competitions we take part in.

International Visual Arts Competition, France

Founded in 1993 by Michel Giraud, founding president of the Louis François UNESCO Centre. Only hand-made work is eligible (mediums including watercolour, gouache, oil pastel and dry pastel); digital art is not accepted. All entries join the Memory of the Future archive of more than 96,500 works from over 150 countries, and results are published on the UNESCO website.

ART OLYMPICS Paris Louvre International Illustration Master Competition

Organized by OCIYAC and exhibited at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, with support from twelve art organizations including the New York Contemporary Art Center and the Tokyo Contemporary Art Committee. The jury scores to international USPAP standards, and AI-generated or AI-modified work is not accepted.

IYAC TOP International Illustration Competition, New York

Backed by the Contemporary Art Center of New York, IYAC has drawn more than 50,000 entries from over 20 countries and regions. Its jury of more than 30 artists from five continents, chaired by Dr John Francis Larner, weighs five criteria equally: theme, colour, composition, technique and creativity.

Asia Youth and Children Arts Festival Painting Competition

Organized by the Hong Kong Art Exchange Association. The 2025 edition, themed “The Most Beautiful Scenery, People, and Moments”, drew over 1,000 entries from eight countries and regions. Tree Art earned Gold in both the Group Participation and Group Instruction awards.
