We believe in holistic development, and our classes promote skills beyond the canvas. Our curriculum encourages teamwork and artist learning, facilitating collaboration and group problem-solving. The University End
Where A Portfolio Can Lead
A portfolio has two uses at university level: applying for art and design programmes at top comprehensive universities, or serving as supplementary material that strengthens the whole application. Art programmes at leading universities also tend to weigh standardised test scores and language results less heavily than other majors.
The art-and-technology crossover is where much of that leads today: MIT’s Media Lab fuses art with technology, Carnegie Mellon runs a computer science and art programme, and NTU in Singapore offers a computing and design double degree.
The building of the portfolio matters as much as the finished book: admissions panels value leadership, creativity, social responsibility, curiosity and self-confidence — and the months spent refining a body of work supply both the evidence and the personal-statement material.
