Marking Singapore’s 60th year of independence, the “Our Future Canvas – Celebrating Singapore 60th Anniversary Art Competition” successfully concluded as scheduled.
The event was organized by the MOCA community, with artistic support and sponsorship from Tree Art and Futurum Academy. United Square provided venue sponsorship, while SOTA, SJI, SJI Junior, and SCGS served as partner schools, offering strong support for the competition.
As an important part of the SG60 celebration series, the competition invited children, youth, and individuals of all ages to envision Singapore in 2065 through their artwork, expressing their unique perspectives on future urban life.
在新加坡迎来独立60周年的重要时刻，“我们的未来画卷 – 庆新加坡60周年艺术大赛”也如期落下帷幕。

Since its launch, the competition has received an enthusiastic response, attracting numerous creative participants. The submitted works covered a wide range of themes, from grand visions of high-tech smart cities to green landscapes depicting harmony between humans and nature. They showcased boundless imagination and sincere hopes for a better future. Each piece not only highlights the artistic talent of Singapore’s younger generation but also reflects their deep aspirations and best wishes for the nation’s future development.

The awards ceremony was grandly held on August 2, 2025, with Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State for National Development and Trade & Industry and Member of Parliament, personally attending to present honors to the winners.

The event atmosphere was vibrant, with the winning works displayed alongside selected pieces from students of SOTA, SJI, SJI Junior, and SCGS in the atrium of United Square. Visitors paused to admire the artworks, often expressing their amazement. Many participants shared that through this competition, they not only had the opportunity to express their creativity but also gained deeper reflections on the future development of society.

The “Our Future Canvas” Art Competition celebrating Singapore’s 60th anniversary was not only an artistic feast but also a nationwide dialogue about the future.
