柏林，国际艺术之都，始终是先锋思潮与多元文化的熔炉。柏林艺术双年展不仅为艺术家提供对话国际的舞台，更以批判性视角介入难民危机、后殖民文化、身份政治等时代议题，成为颠覆艺术权力结构的主导力量。在此背景下，柏林艺术双年展 Golden Key 国际艺术项目由柏林中欧文化艺术交流协会联合纽约当代艺术中心10国顶尖机构共同发起，深度植根于柏林艺术双年展的创新基因与柏林艺术周的开放生态。项目以”解构文化边界，重塑未来美学”为核心理念，致力于为全球艺术家构建无国界的表达通道。
The world’s first international art competition centered on “Cross-Border Dialogue to Reconstruct Cultural Narratives” has officially launched.
Berlin, the international capital of art, has always been a melting pot of avant-garde ideas and diverse cultures. The Berlin Art Biennale not only provides artists with a platform to engage internationally but also addresses contemporary issues such as the refugee crisis, postcolonial culture, and identity politics from a critical perspective, becoming a driving force in challenging traditional power structures in art.
Against this backdrop, the Berlin Art Biennale Golden Key International Art Project was jointly initiated by the Berlin Central European Cultural and Art Exchange Association and ten leading institutions from the New York Contemporary Art Center. Deeply rooted in the innovative spirit of the Berlin Art Biennale and the open ecosystem of Berlin Art Week, the project is guided by the core concept of “deconstructing cultural boundaries, reshaping future aesthetics,” aiming to create a borderless platform for global artists to express themselves.

Symbiotic Relationship with Berlin’s Art Ecosystem
- Time Anchors: Project Opening Ceremony (tentatively November 2); Berlin Art Biennale (October 28 – November 5) and concurrent Art Week
- Expected Participants: 100 selected artists
- Academic Dialogue: Opportunities to join international artist residency programs and engage with Biennale curators on cutting-edge global art topics
Mission of the Competition
- Promote innovation at the forefront of contemporary art
- Facilitate deep cross-cultural dialogue
- Build an international-level professional development platform
- Continue the pioneering spirit of the Biennale: extending the Berlin Art Biennale Art Lab model, encouraging boundary-breaking media exploration through installations, video, digital art, and other diverse forms addressing global issues
- Construct a cross-cultural resource network: leverage Berlin Art Week’s international curator matrix to provide selected artists direct access to the main exhibition areas of the Berlin Art Biennale
Specially Invited Artists (Former Grand Prize Winners)
- €10,000 creation fund
- Blue-chip gallery representation opportunities
- 3-month Berlin residency (subject to hosting museum approval)
- Participation in academic dialogue and residency programs to engage directly with Biennale curators on global art issues

Two Major Creation Categories
- Critical Visual Narrative UnitSubmit 3–5 series works with a 200-word concept statementFocus: Symbolic deconstruction and cultural critique depth

- Conceptual sharpness and depth of cultural critique
- Technical innovation and media experimentation
- Strength of spatial engagement and effectiveness of social participation
Submission Guidelines
- To standardize evaluation and system recognition, all works must be submitted as a single image. Multi-media expressions (painting, photography, sculpture, digital art, installation concepts, stop-motion frames, or mixed media effects) should be integrated into one visual presentation.
- Recommended approaches:Collage, digital composition, or creative layout to merge multiple media languages into a single workTransform 3D works (sculptures, installations) into visual images via photography for integration into a 2D formatEmphasize spatial engagement and social participation effectiveness

- Language of Symbiosis: Explore the symbiotic relationship between nature and technology
- Future Ruins: Imagine archaeological sites of future civilizations
- Emotion Maps: Visualize emotions as landscapes
- Cultural Renewal: Contemporary expression of traditional cultural elements
- Microscopic Universe: Grand narratives within microcosms
- Boundless Imagination: Complete freedom of creative explosion

为便于统一评审与投稿系统识别，本赛道所有作品需以单张图片形式提交，无需上传多张或视频文件。请参赛者在创作时将多媒介表达的视觉要素（如绘画、摄影、雕塑、数字艺术、装置构思、定格动画画面或综合材料效果）有机融合于一张画面中进行呈现。如您对如何呈现有疑问，欢迎提前联系组委会获取指导建议。
我们鼓励：
通过拼贴、数码合成或创意构图，在一张作品中表现多种媒介的语言；
