Noemi Vola was born in 1993 in the beautiful northern Italian town of Bra and currently lives between Turin, a cultural hub, and Bologna, the capital of children’s books—one city renowned for industrial design, the other for children’s publishing.
This unique geographical environment infused her with two artistic DNAs: systematic training at the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts made her well-versed in the principles of Renaissance form, while the atmosphere of Turin, the city of industrial design, gave her works a modern, minimalist structure. This collision of tradition and avant-garde has shaped her distinctive style: “childlike but not childish.”

Since 2017, Noemi Vola has formally devoted herself to children’s publishing, embarking on a highly creative career in illustration. She has published numerous whimsical children’s books and became a highlight at the 2023 Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
